Serene Snowflakes
I just love this stamp set.... It is hard to tell from the photo but I mixed iridescent ice and white embossing powder together to give the center a glossy white/glittery look. I used night of navy, bordering blue and whisper white cardstock and ink. Hope you enjoy!

November Workshop Sneak Peak
Hi Ladies, If you are hosting or attending a workshop this month here is a little sneak peak of one of the projects we are making. I am hosting Thanksgiving this year I am going to fill the boxes with Candy Corn. Instead of stamping "Happy Thanksgiving" I am going to write each guests name on the Modern Label tab. I hope that the kids and adults will LOVE it!

Convention Highlights Day 5, Saturday
This morning we got the pleasure of hearing from Belinda Elsworth. She got us motivated to keep in better contact with our hostess and provide better serves to our friends/customers.
In the afternoon we got a HUGE surprise. If the demonstrators who attended convention are able to get 3000 new friends to join the Stampin' Up! team by the end of the month we will receive the "My Digital Studio" for FREE. So I tell you I REALLY want the new "My Digital Studio" if you have been thinking about joining this is the time to do so. SU! still has the $85 customizable starter kit special going on right NOW!
To end the week several demonstrators were selected to play "Demo Dual" it is based on the popular game show "Family Feud" Everyone was a winner but the big winners got to go on a $250 Stampin' Up! shopping spree.
It was a wonderful week and I am really looking forward to the Stampin' Up! Leadership Conference in Phoenix in January.
Convention Highlights Day 4, Friday
What a wonderful day, I learned so much for my creative side and the Business side of Stampin' Up! In the morning Shelli talked about gift giving. It gave me a ton of ideas for family, teacher and friends gifts. Several lucky Demonstrators received a special hand made gift from Shellie. They all got the new Adorned Charm necklace with a special custom artwork insert made and signed by Shellie.
They also showed us how to make gorgeous broaches with a few scarps of fabric, button and pin back. I have already have been turning out some with the Build a Flower Sizzix Die. I can't wait to show you how adorable they are!
In the afternoon I spent some time learning how to assemble the Sizzix, pop up tree and had fun making more build a bears.
For dinner Carol and I went to the Olive Garden and had an awesome dinner and bottle of wine. I am so much fun and am sad that tomorow is the last day.
Convention Highlights Day 3, Thursday
This morning we had an awesome introduction to the Holiday Mini Catalog. We got to learn about the NEW "My Digital Studio" software that is going to be available soon for order. You can create your own hybrid bound scrapbooks, cards and single pages. SU! has teamed up with a printer, so the colors will match exactly with the ink, paper, ribbon and embellishments. How cool is that. I am going to be able to quickly catch up on my scrapbooking.
Also we got a visit from "Build a Bear Workshop" I can not tell you how cute all the little bears are! There are stamp sets, Sizzix Dies and paper that all match! My Daughters are so excited to see the what I am all going to create with them. I also go my very own REAL build a bear. My youngest Daughter said when she saw the photo of the bear, "Look it is mama dressed up as a bear".
That evening we all attended Awards Night. I did not get to walk the stage this year, but I will next year! Then we ended the night with a concert from Tonic Sol Fa, they are an a cappella group from Minnesota. They were so wonderful, I would highly suggest checking out their website. After the concert I got the meet them and get their autograph on there new CD. It was such a wonderful evening.
Convention Highlights Day 2, Wednesday
Today was "check in" day! We got our cool NEW tote bag with a ton of cool surprises inside. Everyone received four stamp sets and a matching wheel out of the new Idea Book and Catalog. I also got to do a little shopping in the "Memento Mall." I purchased my convention charm and a few little surprises for my hostess.
Carol and I rented a car and drove to Stampin' Up! headquarters in Riverton, Utah. We got to see the Creative Room, Legacy Room, and the most exciting part was watching the pick line! The pick line is where all the items are kept ready for your Stampin' Up order box to pass though and get your item. All the items are hand picked and lovingly placed into your box and shipped to your homes. The room was sooooo Large I could not see to the other end of the warehouse. On our way back from Stampin' Up! we got a flat tire. I must say we had a speedy man come and fix the flat on the car so we could get back to the SU! convention just in time for our afternoon training meetings.
In the evening Carol and I went to the Radisson for a Splitcoast Stampers Dinner. It was very nice to spend the night swaping and visiting with our new friends! See our cute new shirts!
Convention Highlights Day 1, Tuesday
I just got back from the annual Stampin' Up! Convention with tons of ideas I can't wait to show you. I want to post some photos of my activities over the past week. My friend and downline Carol flew in to Salt Lake City on Tuesday Afternoon.
We had a GREAT dinner at the Blue Iguana with a ton of fellow demonstrators that are also part of Splitcoast Stampers. I would say there were about 30 of us. I met a lot of fun ladies the first night who like margaritas as much as I do. The card swapping began before we got our beverages. As a bonus Carol and I got an adorable T-Shirts that Helen had made for the convention (photo coming).

Dream Garden Convention Swaps
Hi Ladies, I am soooo excited Stampin' Up! convention is only 22 days away! Me and a couple girlfriends (Pam and Sonya) have been working long days and nights to prepare tons of swaps to trade with other demonstrators at convention. This is our first 103 swaps. We made it from a GREAT pattern that "cookiestamper" provided here. Thanks for the WONDERFUL inspiration!!! We created them with the Dream Gardens Stamp set and the Nouvrau Chic Designer Series Paper. I want to try them with the Cottage wall paper too... I think they would look wonderful with the purple hues of color. I found boxes of 100 tea bags at Wal-Mart for $1.97 each, you can't beat that!

Day 7, Bermuda Bay Work Table
Ohhh, my!!! The craft room is all starting to come together. I just LOVE the Bermuda Bay Stampin' Up! 2009-2010 In Color. I am afraid to set anything on the table to hide it, well the paint is still a little wet too. I need to have a bathroom built and get a refrigerator and I would NEVER have to leave my room.
I need to come up with a new name for the new craft room. I received a sign from my Mom that has "Tiki Lounge" on it. But, let me know if you can think of anything else, please post your comments or email me your name ideas.
The "Big Reveal" will be soon!!!
There is one little problem. The paint store "matched" the Bermuda Bay color so well, when I place a piece of cardstock on the table it "disappears."

Can you guess the color?
Craft room overhaul... I am keeping myself occupied until the new Idea Book and Catalog arrives. I am painting the office. The base color is Very Vanni la, yes I took the Card Stock to the paint store and and had them "match" it. Now I am going to select an accent color from the new "In Colors." Here is a sneak peek of the new "in Colors" (the first six colors listed) and an AWESOME color combo guide to all current and retried SU! colors. If you can guess the color I am going to pick, the next time you stop in you can pick a little something out of the prize basket.
Now on to the new catalog, SU! has asked us not to post any tidbits about the new items in the catalog so I am going to obey, but if you happen to swing by and want to take a peek at my copy you can. I PRAY I am going to be receiving the catalog by the weekend. I get excited and my heart races when I hear the squeaky breaks of the UPS man (My man in Close to Cocoa). If you would like me to reserve you a copy of the 2009 - 2010 Idea Book and Catalog I will. You can get it for FREE if you agree to host a workshop by the end of catalog cycle. Or you can purchase one for $5... Email me so I can ensure I have enough copies on hand by July 1st. Don't forget to get the stamps you want off the Last Chance list and also some of the accessories are on sale up to 50% off WHILE SUPPLIES LAST... So hurry and do your shopping!!!
GESSO... Now say it in your head 10 times to the tune of J E L L O. I just love this stuff, I sent a whole week playing with it. The "Just Cards" class on June 19th is going to feature a project with it. Run to your local craft store, pick up a bottle and come to class on the 19th to discover how fun it can be.

My Glue Holder
Ok, I had too much time on my hands today. I kept misplacing my empty spool of ribbon that I like to set my glue in upside down, so it it ready for use when I need it. Those who know me, have witnessed how much of a loss I am at when I lose my glue holding spools. So I had the idea if I made it look pretty it would less likely "accidentally" get thrown away (because it looks like garbage to my husband). So now I can lovingly place my glue in a cute empty ribbon spool. It just puts a smile on my face

Flowers and More Flowers
Ok, I went a little crazy... But I love this Butterfly Box. I wanted to make something for a friend in the hospital who could not have "real" flowers. Also this would make a very cute item for your classroom. Write each of the kids names on the stems and pull one out when you call on a child for an answer. It will remind you everyday you are teaching our kids to blossom, even on the tough days. This will be one of the projects for my Summer Stamping Spectacular (SSS). Hope you can make it to more then one event, check out the calender dates and times!
New Tecnique
We almost burnt down the house but has so much fun making this card. Use Glossy white paper and put a flame too it. After the glossy side of the cardstock is all blacked take your stamp image to the paper and press, it will remove the soot. Very cool vintage feel. Don't foget you can always dye your flowers with re-inkers to get the "perfect" color match!
What you missed from the our last class...
This one was voted the "best of class" It still amazes me what you can do with a little ink and paper. The design was inspired from a card made by a wonderfully talented lady, but all my bookmarks "vanished" and I can't find her site anymore. :(
Supplies I used... Chocolate Chip in and Card stock, Whisper White, Water Color Paper, Iridescent Ice (adds sooo much to the butterflies), Upsy Daisy, Gods Beauty, Very Versatile, Distressed Texture plate (Adds a LOT!- Fold card in half and run the whole thing though).

The long awaited class is on the calender... If you have not checked out my Demonstrator Web Site there is a updated list of classes for March. We will be making this Bag Box at the class along with several other projects. I really hope that you can make it! The Designer Series Paper Patterned will vary, pixy stick flowers will not included in the class.
